Slithering Six
Meet the Slithering Six from the Addmore Federation, excited to be taking part in this year's STEM Racing competition.
This is the second year our school have entered the competition, reaching the National Finals last year. Some of this year's members were part of that team and bring with them lots of expertise and experience.
We tested lots of prototypes before agreeing on this final design. The large front wing sends the air right over the front wheels, improving the aerodynamics.
Thanks to our amazing sponsors:
Our sponsors mean we can pay for transport to the regionals, equipment and materials to build the car and our fantastic team uniforms!
Regional Finals 2026:
We had a great day at the finals. An early start and straight into building our Pit Display, before a morning full of judging. We gave it our all, talking about our designs, presenting to panels of judges and racing our car (which went really well). Before we knew it, it was awards time. We were so pleased to be awarded the prize for best Pit Display, and we also received a nomination for the Team Identity award. Sadly, we didn't make it to the National Finals this year, but we've learnt so much and had a brilliant time being part of this competition!
